Well everyone, we made the Final 4. Not the NCAA Final Four, but the “Bring TCM to Your Hometown” final four. Yep – I’m happy to finally be able to tell everyone that my entry in the TCM contest to bring the network here for a special event is a finalist. (My 1,000 word entry also ran as a story in The Buffalo News.)

When TCM gave me the news, they also added a final step: They wanted a 1 to 5 minute video on why TCM should come here. With the help of some gracious friends – including Tracy Snyder, Scott Celani, Colin Dabkowski, Cathaleen Curtiss, the North Park Theatre (wait till you see what they did for me), Don Nieman and Imperial Pizza – this first-time filmmaker got her entry in on time. (I will thank everyone in more detail later.)

I now understand what people mean when they say it’s an honor just to be nominated. I put as much heart as hard work into this so it means a lot that it was recognized. The winner will be announced in about a month.
